竹田光幸の創作

1974年〜1979年に制作した欅材の大作を展示しています。

A large-scale work from 1974 to 1979 are being exhibited at the museum.

八王子市にアトリエと住居を得てから42年になりました。いつかは地域の人達に観て戴く私設の美術館にしたいと思っていました、そのことは私の理想でした。

多摩美術大学（在職48年）を退職する期にアトリエを竹田光幸木彫刻美術館として開設することに致しました。

Forty-two years have passed since I acquired my atelier and home in the city of Hachioji. I always wanted to convert this into a private museum that local people could come and see. This was my ideal.
Upon retiring from Tama Art University where I was engaged for 48 years, I took the opportunity to open the Mitsuyuki Takeda Wood Sculpture Museum.

在職中に制作した作品には1973年からの30代での大作による抽象作品、特に40代から50代での巨大な手像木彫刻、60代からの近作などのそれぞれの世代で制作した具象、抽象作品大小50点位を展示した小さな美術館です。

This is a small museum where approximately fifty of my works are on display including abstract works I created from 1973 in my thirties during my tenure at the university and, in particular, massive wood sculptures of the hand I produced when I was in my forties and fifties as well as embodiments and modern abstract works both large and small that I produced from my sixties up to the present.

庭には金木犀や百日紅、竹、合歓の木などが年々に大木になって四季おりおりの若葉や花や紅葉がとても美しいと思っています。そのところどころに小さなブロンズや石の作品を野外展示しております。

室内では巨大な手像を中心に並べ、若き日からの制作の流れを紹介した展示となっております。

The garden is planted with fragrant olive, crape myrtle, bamboo, silk trees and other plants that grow year by year and welcome the changing seasons with beautiful fresh new leaves and autumn colors. Small works made of materials such as bronze and stone can be found on display outdoors here and there in the garden.
